Is there anyway to go back to using my CD while playing Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne?

I have a really slow computer, and when the new patch came out (1.21 i believe) it made it so that Warcraft 3 was only playable without a CD. This is a huge problem for me, cause i have a Pentium 3 540Mhz computer, and running it from the Hard Drive seems to slow it down alot. Any suggestions or fixes?

1. The only thing you can really do is uninstall the game and revert to the previous patch, just make sure you download the patches seperately and don't log on to battle.net.

2. 2 Things, going to a previouse patch will not let you play on bnet

other thing

Warcraft never played from your CD, the only thing the CD was there for was to make sure you owned a valid copy of the game. Meaning it always played off your hard drive.

Tips
Do a scandisk and a defrag on your computer, it should help speed things up. To do this go to my computer, right click on your C drive and look under "tools" tab
