How can i play world of warcraft on my friends computer without installing the game?

I have just installed world of warcraft at my place.
But i want to play at a different pc when im away from home.
Is there any way of just downloading the wow game launcher and logging in from there?
Sweet, cheers guys.
I think a large external hard drive would be a smart idea.

1. You can't. There's no way to play the game without downloading the software.

2. Yes you have to install it on the other computer.

3. If there was a way to do that, you wouldn't have had to install the game on your computer, right? Either bring your disks with you, or log onto your account on wow and download everything from blizzard. Either way, you'll need to install the game. You can use your account from any computer with wow on it though (if that's what you were really asking). Just log into your account and you'll be able to play.

4. If the game doesn't require a certain service found only one your original computer, you can probably put it on a USB. I'm uncertain bout WoW though, it's a big game and might require an installed service, and probably can't be run through USB. Try it though.

5. There is a streaming version of the game, which basically doesn't install the whole thing and take stupid amounts of time, but it still needs to be downloaded/installed onto the computer. Also I think its only available for trial accounts :/
Sorry but I think you'll have to install the whole game.

6. No,
Try buying a portable hard drive and copy and paste the whole WOW files from your computer to it.
That is the only way to play it at this persons house. Plus if they let you, just copy and paste it to their computer and it can stay there forever!

7. You have to install the game onto the computer you want to play on unfortunately. There are some remote access programs out there but sadly they don't perform well enough (especially over the internet) for that to be a viable option until the technology improves more.

The closest thing to what you're wanting to do would be to copy your entire WoW directory onto a sufficiently large flash drive (16gb+) or external hard drive and just plug it into your friends computer when you're wanting to play. I've done that in the past. If you take the flash drive option keep in mind it could be slow with loading times depending on how fast it is.

Your best option is just to install it on all computers that you think you might play on, and it'll be there when you need it :)

Good luck!

8. You dont have to install the game you can simply copy the wow folder and play off that, the problem is finding a read/writable thing that holds 28gigs, so yeah external HD is your best option. Or copy it to a blue ray (or multiple DVDs) and copy them onto his HD.

9. you have to install the whole game again in another computer through your portable disk. no other option!

10. No it can't work but cool idea though.

11. You cannot play the game just by having the internet. You need to be running the software somehow. Just using an external hard drive might not work either because it may slow the game down. It's to have the game directly installed on the machine you want to play on.

12. All you need is an external hard driver or USB flash drive that has over 28GB of capacity.

Copy the wow folder to your external drive and when you get to your friends house, locate wow.exe and run it.
