How is starcraft 2 better than warcraft 3?
I have gotten into rts gaming and i really like warcraft 3. I play it all the time. There seems to be big hype over starcraft 2. People keep telling me that i should buy it. I think i want to, but i cant seem to find the difference of starcraft 2 and warcraft 3 other than graphics and outer space. I think i am going to buy it anyways, i just want to know how it's better.

1. they are essentially the same game, they are both RTS they are both based on a 2 resource system and completing either missions or quests. --the only real difference comes from the stories and setting (and warcraft 3 is so old that its a LOT cheaper than starcraft 2) PS I cant wait for warcraft 4 to come out2. None of these answers tell you anything. The real difference between the two is that Starcraft requires you to pay much more attention to your macromanagement (your economy) where as in WC3 you are supposed to mostly pay attention to your characters fighting. That's not to that SC2 doesn't require any micro, it just requires the microing of bigger armies while maintaining a good economy so that you can pump out more units then your opponent. I don't know how much scouting you need to do in WC3 but in SC2 you need to do a lot if you are Zerg or Protoss, none at all if you're Terran. I would reccomend getting it, a lot of pro WC3 are jumping onto SC2 and are loving it.
