How can I access free World of Warcraft servers?
I once talked to a friend about free world of warcraft servers where there were even in some cases, a +10% increase to gold and experience. Does anyone know how to access these legit free servers?

1. I think your friend was yanking your chain.2. Your friend wasn't jerking your chain. Before you go to a private server you should know a few things that will drive you insane.
Most quests are bugged. You'll be moving forward having an awesome time when suddenly you're forced to go somewhere else and dig for your quests. Some dungeons are completely broken, you can't get anything done on them. Some classes are almost entirely broken. You'll be required at times to wait in line for the operators of your server to fix whatever is keeping your character from moving forward.
People who donate money to the servers are generally owning the shit out of you using gear that only those who donate are allowed to have.
Private servers lag almost constantly, you'll find yourself in several doing things that require way too much time...and then suddenly the server will crash and you'll have to start all over. The owners are usually power hungry asshats who will let the mods torture you for their amusement.
In my experience playing on a private server is a complete waste of time. Imagine putting all of those hours of your life into something that will definitely vanish out of nowhere and leave you back at the beginning paying for the retail servers. It will happen.
Buuuuuut...if you've read all of this and decided that private servers are the way to go, it isn't hard to do a little bit of research and figure it out. Most private servers offer utilities that will launch the game for you and automatically direct you to the different realms they offer.
