How do i download warcraft 3 reign of chaos maps the right way?
Every time i download a warcraft 3 map it doesn't show up when i go into my games and click the downloads.

1. Make sure you have the map unzipped, it should look like this:MapName.w3m
Place it in your WC3 maps directory, for instance:
C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Maps\Downloads <-- best to make a new folder for downloaded or custom maps.
Then you just have to browse through the game's mechanism to find the map. Run the game,
click Single Player>Custom Game
In the map browser click the Downloads folder and inside should be the map file you've downloaded and placed, eg. MapName.w3m
clicking and loading it should run the map.
Another important thing, if you only have Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos then you'll only be able to run "w3m" files, maps that end with "w3x" extensions will only work or show up if you have The Frozen Throne expansion installed as well.
2. It is all very simple
1. Download your map by clicking "Download map here" there is usually a clear button or hyperlink that says something like that.
2. Go to your downloads folder
3. Right click the map you have downloaded and click copy
4. Then find your warcraft folder and find the maps folder in that.
5. (optional) make a downloads folder in the maps folder so you know what maps you have downloaded.
6. Paste your downloaded map into your maps folder (if you have made a downloads folder paste the map in that folder)
7. I have found some maps dont show up so the creator of the map hasn't done all the required steps in uploading his map, (unfortunately you will not be able to play the map if this is the case)
8. Enjoy playing your new map!
