Basically it is a unit in a building that auto clicks the unit spawn button. when the building is dead, the units cant spawn anymore. Just like footmen wars or DotA. when the building dies the units wont spawn anymore, but you can upgrade the creeps.

I have a really slow computer, and when the new patch came out (1.21 i believe) it made it so that Warcraft 3 was only playable without a CD.
