Can you buy the WotLK key online and use it to upgrade from a trial account? Since WotLK has all three versions, do I need to buy the previous? The site material I do but on the account upgrade site it says I can enter the WotLK key to upgrade. So whats what?

How to downgrade from Cataclysm to Wotlk? I am using a Mac and am trying to create a private server using a program called eMux. Unfortunately, eMux doesn't yet support Cataclysm, so I would like to know how I can downgrade to Wotlk. However, I don't want to delete cataclysm.
